Our Gramercy is directed by a board and a variety of committees.
Our Board of Directors consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Directors. The board holds an open work session on the third Thursday monthly and an open board meeting on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Assisting the Board are sixteen voluntary committees of owners. The committees, through the board, give direction to the Property Manager and Maintenance personnel. Residents along with the Gramercy Board of Directors add committees on an adhoc or permanent basis as the need arises.
Our standing committees include:
Building Committee: works with our Property Manager to determine building repairs and modifications, reviews vendor proposals and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval.
Clubhouse Committee: manages the operation and upkeep of the clubhouse on a day-to-day basis and recommends to the Board of Directors needed repairs and improvements.
Fire, Safety and Security Committee: works with Burnsville Fire and Police personnel to inform residents of safety and security recommendations. They are responsible for fire drills, police and fire safety presentations, evening security checks, and water leak alarm placements.
Gardening Committee: plants, transplants, weeds and provides general care of flower beds in addition to taking care of various other small flower plots.
Grounds Committee: develops and recommends policy regarding our grounds, trees, grass, ponds, and general maintenance. Assists in the review of grounds maintenance contract and other related grounds contracts.
Guest Suites: monitors guest suites for cleanliness and comfort. Maintains the rental schedule and payments. Recommends replacement of toiletries, toweling, bed linens and covers.
Interior Decorating: acts as a resource to the Board of Directors by recommending improvements and replacements to our common areas. Completes various improvements recommended. The committee also changes the seasonal decor in the common areas.
Kitchen and Social: plans and arranges for dinners, Wednesday Coffee, entertainment and other social events. Maintains kitchen supplies and replacement of dinnerware and miscellaneous items.
Marketing and Website: promotes the building through various activities and maintains the website. Conducts tours and assists Property Manager in advertising and flyers. Welcomes new members and guests interested in our Gramercy.
Tech Committee: Educates residents on current systems and future streaming offerings. Recommends changes in Gramercy technical needs.
Our other committees include:
Bible DVD Study: discusses a recent series of DVDs viewed about various sections of the Bible.
Book Club and Library Committee: maintains the library’s collection of books, puzzles, magazines, DVDs, and maintains the library in good order. A book selection each month is read and discussed.
Fine Arts Committee: activities include expression through watercolor and learning techniques from each other. Greeting cards are designed and produced.
Sunshine Committee: greets new Gramercy owners, maintains a memorial book for departed members and to remember ill members with personal visits and cards.
Travel and Entertainment Committee: conducts a variety of travel, dining, entertainment and educational experiences, both at our Gramercy and a wide variety of locations.
Wood-shop Committee: maintains power and hand tools, purchases needed supplies and builds some wood projects.
